Merry & Bright

Christmas wreath home made

Some lovely greens from the back forty to make the front of the house festive

The weather here is full on winter.  We had about 9 inches of snow on top of the couple inches from the other day.  I took the snowshoes out for a stroll in the back lot and collected some greens to make some wreaths.  At first it just looked like a heap of nothing…

As for the garden it is quietly resting with a nice layer of ‘poor man’s fertilizer’!

And since I harvested so many greens I decided to make a wreath for the front door as well.

A nice bit of green for the front door set off with a bright red bow.

This coming week will be the final week before we take a nice long break until after the New Year, yay.  It’s been a very busy year and I’m looking forward to the rest.  On a very happy note, the Johnny’s and FedCo seed catalogs have arrived…what better way to relax?

relaxing with a cuppa and a few good catalogs 🙂

The opportunity to kick back and shop for seeds…ahhhhh, nothing better.  The perfect garden in the making, yet again.

These make the deep snow easier to navigate.

Wishing you all a lovely Solstice and Merry Christmas.

  1. Miss your posts 🙂 xoxo

  2. Oh Anna, it’s SO good to hear from you (and what a perfectly gorgeous wreath for your front door: )
Wishing you the Very Merriest of Christmases and Happiest New Year!
P.S. Drop me a line sometime?
    Many HUGS! Deb

  3. Merry Christmas! The snowshoes are a great idea – we’ve had some good snow here too – though rumour has it that it’s supposed to be above freezing by next week again. Weird weather..
